After 23 years of classroom teaching, I became an Academic Coach because I wanted to make a difference for students one-on-one.

After roughly 1600 hours of coaching hours, I’m convinced that this method works like no other.

I earned my Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coach Federation (ICF) in 2019. My first coaching business was Human By Human Coaching for Life. I earned 56 Google reviews and a 4.9 average.

I let this business go during a major life transition, which had me move to Gunnison, CO, in 2022. This is where I love to bike and ski!

I currently work as the Resident Director of the Escalante Complex at Western Colorado University, and I coach students who are struggling academically.

This work has been as rewarding as my first academic coaching experience, so I have decided to rekindle my business and make an even bigger difference.

I am also an Ed.D. candidate in Educational Leadership, and the focus of my studies is Academic Coaching and its effect on GPA and retention.

I have used my coaching skills to coach-train academic advisors, parents, school counselors, peer mentors, and housing professionals.

Occasionally, I create and lead retreats for small organizations around culture change.

I love working with students and their parents. I love leading conversations in which young people have insights about themselves, apply their learning to action, and produce desired results.
